#allasalute: the fundraising campaign for Pavia general hospital by Terre d’Oltrepò and La Versa

A social campaign has been set up to support the San Matteo General Hospital in Pavia, one of Italy’s outstanding healthcare facilities, which has been at the front line of the Coronavirus emergency for three weeks now. Being aware of the key role played by doctors and the entire industry in fighting this battle, the Terre d’Oltrepò and La Versa wineries have launched a fundraiser for the emergencies at Pavia hospital. #allasalute is the campaign set up by these two companies from the Oltrepò Pavese region, whereby they will donate 50% of the sale price of each single bottle bought online to support the General Hospital’s work.

“We’re convinced that at a time like this we all have to work together”, explained president Andrea Giorgi. “Every single gesture to help others can only serve the general cause. A leading winery like ours could not shy away from the many calls for help, including economic ones, that are coming in. The battle of today is one that all of us, all around the world, have to win. The entire medical and healthcare sector is on the front line and also has to be supported with initiatives like these”. Firstly, #allasalute is firmly aimed at helping the healthcare sector and, secondly, it wants to send out a message, to tell people to look ahead even at a difficult time like this.

“It’s a joint operation with the entire workforce of these two wineries, proving how important it is today to be there for the healthcare sector to defeat this virus”, explained director Massimo Sala. “We’ll donate 50% of the sale price of our wines bought online as a sign of our close support for the people who are currently fighting in the wards of the San Matteo hospital in Pavia. We’ll wholeheartedly donate this money, also on behalf of our many shareholders, in the hope that this emergency will end as soon as possible”.

The #allasalute campaign joins the #weloveitaly video campaign to support Italian products and delicacies. This is a sort of weekly journey through the strengths of these two wineries as the epitome of Made in Italy. In the meantime, our stores in Broni, Casteggio and Santa Maria della Versa have been closed to comply with the relevant Italian decree, but you can contact them by phone for any orders.
